It's not a party unless it's a boat party!

In Brasilia, we have 3 beautiful things, the sky, rainbows, and the JK bridge. And the best way to experience all three of them is a boat party. Every fall, the school kicks off the school year with one. And, for weeks before hand people start talking about it. People pass each other in the hall asking, "are you going to the boat party?" We head out to Lake Paranoa, a man made lake, and eat, drink, laugh, and dance our way into the sunset. It is such an awesome way for us to start the year and get to know people outside of school.

Andrea and Kathy, have been here for quite a while. And, their leaving EAB is kind of like the ending of an era. So, when these two best pals started talking about a going away party, everyone was so excited when they said it was going to be a combined boat party! We all boarded the boat Saturday evening and decided to boogie till the cows came home, OR 9 o'clock...depending on how you look at it. :)

Our boat party took place on the 1 year anniversary of a similar boat sinking, in which several people drowned. Needless to say, the life jackets were a plus.

All of these ladies have been at EAB for 3-5 years. We are sad to see them go. Luckily, Monica decided to stay!!!

Andrea and Kathy bought the glow in the dark necklaces as party favors. They were so much fun!

The boat party was such a blast, we came, we danced, we said our good-byes. It was such an awesome event and it was the best going away party I've ever been to(no offense Frannie)


Andrea and Kathy we will miss you very much and may your travels to Hong Kong(for Kathy) and the whole world(for Andrea) be as enjoyable as your time here. We will miss you!
